UUCLC’s Social Justice & Environment Committee invites our members and friends to join us in donating “Thanksgiving Baskets” to the Helping Hands Ministry in South Lake County.  About 10 of our members participated 2 years ago.  Each participant is asked to go to the grocery store and purchase an aluminum roasting pan (which serves as the “basket”), non-perishable  “fixins”  for Thanksgiving Dinner, and a $10 – $15 grocery store gift card.   Please see the flyer below for the list of suggested items.  Bring your items to UUCLC on Sunday, October 30th or November 6th.  SJ&E will provide a Thanksgiving greeting card for your gift card, and will take care of wrapping and delivering the baskets.  If you have any questions, please contact Jane Hepting via office@uulakecounty.org, subject: Thanksgiving Baskets.
