Speaker: Rev. Libby Moore
Rev. Libby Moore is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist who grew up in the White Plains (NY) Community Church and is now a member of First Unitarian Church of Rochester, NY where she has been active with UU Wellspring for the past fifteen years. UU Wellspring is a spiritual deepening program developed in Rochester and now offered in many UU churches across the country and in Canada. Libby was part of the initial development team and is now a facilitator. Wellspring explores UU history and theology and supports its members in seeking their own spiritual paths and in finding the spiritual practices that sustain them. It has been a transformative experience for Libby and for hundreds of other Unitarian Universalists. https://uuwellspring.org
Inspired by Wellspring, Libby attended One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City, where she was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2011. She is currently an affiliated community minister with First Unitarian Church of Rochester and has preached at a number of churches in western New York State, as well as performing weddings and memorial services. After training in spiritual counseling at One Spirit, she offers spiritual companionship to people seeking a deeper spiritual life. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International and the UU Spiritual Directors Network. The work is a gift and a blessing in Libby’s retirement years.
