PRESIDENT OF UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST SERVICE COMMITTEE VISITS UUCLC

UUCLC was privileged to have a visit from Reverend Mary Katherine Morn,
President and Lead Executive Officer of the Unitarian Universalist Service
Committee (UUSC) as part of her visit to Florida congregations including
UUCLC, Orlando, and Naples. Rev. Morn was accompanied by two staff
members, Carly Cronan, Major Gifts Officer, and Nadeline Alexandre, Staff
Assistant.
On Friday February 9 Rev. Morn gave a presentation on UUSC priorities,
programs, and grassroot partnerships, followed by a lively Q and A with the
audience. The attendance was good, and included contingents from First
Unitarian of West Volusia in Deland and Tri-County UU. After the program there was a reception in the Social Hall, hosted by SJEC. Rev. Morn and her associates stayed after the reception and met with five members of SJEC to hear more about UUCLC social justice and environment programs. SJEC received many good ideas and suggestions.  At the end of the session, we were delighted when Rev. Morn complimented us by saying that based on what she had heard, she would have thought that we were a much larger congregation than we are.
The visit was a very memorable day for everyone who was able to attend.
