The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lake County is delighted to announce its upcoming Pet Blessing Service, a heartwarming event open to the wider community. On Saturday, October 21, at 11:00am our inclusive and welcoming congregation will come together outdoors at 1235 Mt Homer Rd Eustis, FL to celebrate the special bond between humans and their beloved animal companions. The event will be held rain or shine.
This event is a cherished tradition for many Unitarian Universalist congregations reflecting our commitment to embracing diversity and promoting compassion for all living beings. The Pet Blessing Service is a unique opportunity for pet owners and animal lovers of all faiths and backgrounds to join us in honoring and blessing the furry, feathered, and scaly members of their families.
The occasion welcomes pets of all kinds, promoting attendees to bring their well-mannered animal companions, whether they sport fur, feathers, scales, or paws. In cases where a pet may be territorial or anxious or has recently passed away, owners are encouraged to bring a photograph of their beloved pet to receive a blessing.
Rev. Cynthia Snavely, the spiritual leader of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lake County, expresses excitement about the upcoming service, saying, “Our Pet Blessing Service is a joyful celebration of the deep connections we share with our animal companions. It’s a beautiful reminder of the importance of compassion and care for all living beings, and we are thrilled to invite the wider community to join us in this celebration.
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Lake County welcomes people of all backgrounds, faiths, and beliefs to attend this inclusive and heartwarming event. We hope that the Pet Blessing Service will not only strengthen the bonds between pet owners and their animals but also foster a sense of unity and compassion within our community.
