UUCLC’s Social Justice and Environment Committee is pleased to report that at least ten of our UU members are helping to re-activate the Lake County Conservation Council (LCCC). Egor Emery has been re-elected president and Jane Hepting has been elected treasurer.
The LCCC has these purposes: to promote the preservation and protection of the natural resources of Lake County, Florida; to enhance civic awareness of present and potential dangers to the environment; to promote responsible growth management; to cooperate with other conservation and environmental groups in the area for our common purposes; and to advise civic authorities on conservation and environmental matters.
The dues are $10 annually. Anyone who is interested in joining may contact Jane Hepting at hepting.jane@gmail.com.
