Eustis African American Heritage Day Parade April 20, 2024

Parade lovers, UUCLC will participate in the Eustis African American Heritage Day parade on Saturday April 20. Step off time is 10:00 a.m. This is the parade originally scheduled for February that had to be cancelled because of heavy rain. The organizers are very appreciative that we are willing to march in the rescheduled event.
Our group of marchers will carry the UUCLC banner and an assortment of
Black Lives Matter banners and other flags.  Highlights of our
participation will be Don Stearns driving his Ford Model A Woody car and giving away Mardi Gras beads to children along the route – these are always popular with kids and we get big smiles.
The parade route ends at the location of the African American Heritage Festival, with many food trucks and interesting vendor exhibits near Eustis 9th Grade Center.
Please plan to join us – it is fun to walk together in a parade. If interested please let Karen know at woolhouse@earthlink.net so that she can add you to the list for further parade information.
