EcoExpo March 4 and UUCLC Reception March 5

Be sure to mark March 4 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on your calendar and plan to attend the EcoExpo on the Lake-Sumter State College campus in Leesburg. UUCLC is one of twelve conservation organizations co-hosting the event along with the college. There will be workshops on conservation topics, displays by the co-hosts and many government agencies, activity rooms, videos, and much more. The event is completely free, open to the public, and there are some great door prizes. A large attendance is expected.

UUCLC will have its conservation display there as well as providing a workshop on greenhouse gas emissions and solar energy. We will also have the winning essays from the EcoExpo Essay contest on display, and will be managing the food and beverage arrangements. Jane Hepting is the chair of the entire event and appreciates the help from her faith community as she makes this big event happen.

HELP NEEDED: We still need more people to staff our UUCLC participation, including our display with information on UUCLC congregation life and on our solar panels/conservation work and the essay display table that will recognize winners of our EcoExpo Essay Contest.

Please let Karen Frank or Karen Woolhouse know if you would like to help out. It will be fun!

The following day, March 5 at 3:00 pm, UUCLC will host a reception recognizing EcoExpo participants and Essay Contest winners.
